About the Role:
Shipcom Wireless IoT is looking for a solid Solutions Architect who will take on a key role on our development team. As a Solutions Architect, you will lead and drive the end-to-end architecture of multiple teams in a complex space.
This role will be very hands-on, driving the overall technical and solutions architecture. You will be responsible for all aspects of the solution architecture, from security to data strategy, and work closely with all areas of engineering to best align architecture. You will collaboratively work across other product areas and multiple business units, influencing and driving the digital modernization efforts.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

• 
  
• Mapping business requirements into solutions with effort estimates
  
• Working experience with application architecture and web application development
  
• Working experience with DevOps Technologies, such as GIT, Docker, etc.
  
• Working with cloud-based Micro-services, including Azure and AWS
  
• Working with Responsive Web, Cache systems, and patterns
  
• Working with REST, SOAP, HTTP/2, WebSockets, and related patterns
  
• Working in a hybrid on and offshore development model
  
• Leading and demonstrating technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work
  
• Leading and mentoring a team of solution engineers to support pursuits and exceed our revenue targets
  
  Expected Skills/Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • 3+ years of technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales experience
    
  • OR relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms AND 1+ year(s) of technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales experience
    
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years of technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales experience
    
  • OR equivalent experience
    
  • "Associate" level certification in Azure among the following: IoT Developer Specialty, Security Architect, Data Architect, Application Architect, Analytics Architect preferred
    
  • Azure Solution Architect certification preferred
    
  • Extensive working experience with .NET, React, and Kubernetes
    
  • Solid experience with cloud solution design patterns (microservices, messaging, distributed caching, containers, etc.)
    
  • Experience working with product teams/owners and UX to translate business requirements to technical requirements
    
  • Experience with architecting solutions using various technology components
    
  • Past experience setting project vision/scope, building the team to deliver, and overseeing delivery
    
  • Must understand Agile/SCRUM methodologies
    
  • Excellent influencing and reasoning skills; good at conflict resolution and consensus building
