Job Description:

This is a fantastic contract to hire .Net Software Engineer opportunity located in west Houston in the Katy area. The .Net Software Engineer will collaborate with the IT team to help create the new industry-leading well design tool. The successful candidate will develop components in C# and .NET, develop test plans and unit tests, and debug & fix problems reported by users. This position has the potential to work from home up to 3 days a week as well as offers a flexible schedule in a casual and friendly work environment!

• Objects Oriented - 33%
• Model View/ MVP/ MVVM  - 33%
• WPF - 34%
 
Top 3 duties and percentage of time doing them:
• UI Design - 50%
• Data Structures - 25%
• Mathematical logics - 25%
 
Top 3 Projects:
• Coding components custom specification - 34%
• Code review other other’s code - 33 %
• Testing - 33%
 
Qualifications:
• Bachelors’ degree or better in Computer Science or other engineering degree.
• 3+ years in .Net development.
• Familiarity with SQL database, 2D graphics, WinForms controls, WPF.
• Excellent understanding of object-oriented development principles.
• Design patterns
• MVVM, MVP, MVC
• Familiar with software development lifecycle and tools.
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Unafraid of math. Ability to learn and implement mathematical algorithms correctly.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Passionate about software design.
