Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Meat Department Associate Team Leader to join our team at Whole Foods Market.   • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring that customers have an exceptional shopping experience.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Sales and Inventory: Work closely with the team to achieve sales targets, manage inventory, and maintain stock levels.
  • Operations: Assist the team leader in analyzing sales reports, labor, and expenses, and contribute to the development of annual sales and expense projections.
  • Mentorship and Training: Select, train, develop, and mentor team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Store Standards: Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs, directing team members as necessary to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
  • Store Safety and Security: Communicate and maintain team member safety and security standards, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Performance Evaluations: Conduct timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations, contributing to the growth and development of team members.Requirements
    • 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
    • High energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
    • Extensive knowledge of meat products and a growth mindset towards greater responsibility and ownership.
    • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
    • Capable of teaching others in a positive and constructive manner.
    • Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
    • Demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.
    • Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.Working Conditions
      • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
      • In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
      • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
      • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
      • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
      • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
      • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
      • Ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment.
      • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
