Job SummaryCenterPoint Energy's IT Department is seeking an
experienced and strategic Organizational Change and Talent
Management professional to lead the change management strategy,
support change initiatives, and drive talent management. This role
will be responsible for driving and managing organizational change
within IT projects and operations as well as responsible for talent
development initiatives across the IT Department. The successful
candidate will play a key role in the company's agile
transformation, driving the adoption of agile methodologies across
the organization as well as fostering a culture of continuous
improvement and agility. This role will also be responsible for IT
Talent Management including collaborating with stakeholders across
various teams within IT to integrate talent development initiatives
to support our workforce including enhancing employee engagement,
development of programs that foster growth of talent, and
capabilities. Essential Functions
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of change
management strategies and plans to support an informed workforce
including:
- IT Projects and operations including Agile Platform Operating
Model, system rollouts, process improvements, and digital
transformation initiatives.
- Define change management governance and standards for IT
project portfolio
- Execute new project roll outs by preparing, supporting and
helping individuals, teams and leaders in adapting to
organizational change.
- Identify opportunities to improve business outcomes with
organizational change.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to define change objectives,
identify key success factors, and design roadmaps that align with
organizational goals.
- Design and manage of the Communities of Practice to support the
Agile Platform Operating Model.
- Design, implement, and execution of a robust communications
plan to provide transparency and guidance to workforce throughout
the change process and support an informed workforce related to IT
initiatives and operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify
change impacts and ensure alignment across the organization.
- Collaborate with Agile Scrum Masters, Product Owners and
Coaches as inputs into Change Management needs.
- Identify potential resistance or barriers to change and develop
actionable plans to address and mitigate risks effectively.
- Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance
understanding and adoption of agile principles, practices and tools
across the organization.
- Assess and identify workforce gaps and create targeted training
programs to develop IT talent, enhancing their capabilities to
adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Work with HR and IT leadership to implement career development
paths, mentorship programs, and succession planning structure that
align with the evolving IT needs and organizational goals.
Education DescriptionBachelor's degree in organizational
development, Information Technology, Business Management, or
related field. Master's Degree or relevant certifications (e.g.,
Certified Agile Coach, Scrum Master or Product Owner, PMI-ACP,
Change Management, ProSci, ADDIE/SAM, PMP is a plus. Experience
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in IT change management,
talent management, or a similar role, 2-3 years focused on agile
transformation.
- Experience leading large-scale IT change initiatives and
working in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Proven experience leading change in large-scale adoption across
multiple teams or departments.
- Experience in working with frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban,
