We are now embarking on an excitingjourney to develop an ammonia import terminal and CO2 storage and export capabilities.As our Permit & Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that ouroperations meet the highest standards of compliance while driving key permitting processes forfuture development projects.The role will be based in Vlissingen (min 2/3 days/week) and will involve occasional travel withinEurope. The role reports to the General Manager LBC Vlissingen.Your Role as Permit & Compliance ManagerIn this role, you will take ownership of the permitting processes required for our new project inVlissingen. You will be the go-to expert for ensuring that LBC complies with all applicable laws,regulations, and industry standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensurethat all necessary permits are obtained and maintained, aligning with our businessrequirements and compliance goals.What You'll Do--- Manage and monitor the permitting process for LBC Vlissingen, including preparing andsubmitting applications to relevant authorities, obtaining existing environmental permitscurrently in process, and ensuring all necessary steps are completed in a timelymanner.--- Manage permitting consultants in their preparation of the permit application(s), e.g. EIA,safety reports, QRA's, etc.--- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, safety, andoperational regulations and act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, ensuringclear communication and timely resolution of compliance issues.--- Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and systems to maintainregulatory adherence and operational excellence and keep internal teams informedabout changes in regulations and the potential impact on operations.--- Work closely with project teams, operations, and legal departments to integratecompliance and permitting requirements into business activities and vice versa.--- Translate business requirements into permit terms and understand the implications ofvarious permit stipulations for business plans.What You Bring--- Bachelor Chemical Engineering or equivalent--- Extensive experience (10+ years) in compliance management and permitting within thechemical, petrochemical, or logistics industries.--- In-depth knowledge of Dutch environmental and safety regulations; familiarity with EUregulations is a plus.--- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.--- Proven ability to manage complex regulatory processes and build effective relationshipswith stakeholders.--- Fluent in English and Dutch.What We Offer--- A competitive salary and benefits package.--- An opportunity to work on exciting projects that contribute to the energy transition andsustainability.--- A dynamic, collaborative, and supportive work environment.--- Career development opportunities in a global organization focused on innovation andexcellence.Ready to Make an Impact?Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for compliance andsustainability?
