Description Summary / TWC Summary: The professor reports to the
Department Chair and is responsible for supporting and advancing
the mission and goals of the university and the college/school in
all academic, scholarly and student support activities. The
professor typically teaches assigned graduate (master and
doctorate) Educational Administration courses, develops curriculum
and course content, conducts research and publishes research
findings, counsels and advises students on course requirements and
participates in college/school activities for the advancement of
organizational goals and student success. Responsibilities will
include teaching graduate courses related to school organization
and leadership, school law, campus culture and community relations;
advising graduate students; assisting with student research and
dissertations, and supervising internships. Teaching assignments
may include weekend, evening and online courses.
Essential Duties Summary:
- Supports and advances the mission and goals of the university
and the college/school in all academic and scholarly activities.
Forges collaborations with the different areas on campus to provide
students with maximum resources to meet degree requirements.
- Develop and improve the educational administration curriculum
and course content for educational administration courses to meet
the constant changes in the educational administration education
field. Select and assign the appropriate textbooks for inclusion in
curriculum content.
- Successfully teaches undergraduate and graduate educational
administration courses in various mediums (traditional, on-line,
blended) as assigned to college level students. Establishes and
holds office hours for students to receive counseling and advice on
class requirements.
- Committed to providing educational administration research,
exploring grant opportunities, and publishing professional
journals. Also demonstrate a commitment to service on college and
university committees as required.
- Candidates should be competent self-learners and exhibit
excellent problem-solving skills.
- Tasks are multiple and focus more on single processes. Work is
sometimes standardized and sometimes varied. No responsibility for
budget, revenues, and expenditure authority.
- Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using
well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by
supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent
judgment and decision making. Refers most problems to
supervisor.
- Some contact with others, including students, public, visitors
and University personnel. The purpose of contacts is to provide or
obtain explanation or additional information.
- Requires moderate interpersonal and communication skills to
ensure that customer requests or needs are met. Acknowledges and
clarifies customer inquiries, requests, or complaints to ensure
that needs are identified, documented, and addressed.

Chairperson and or Dean. % FTE: 1.0 Hiring Range: $52,775.00 -
$68,607.00 Education: Applicants must hold a doctorate in
Educational Administration, Educational Leadership and Policy
Studies or an equivalent field. Successful K-12 administrative
experience is preferred with a current principal certificate and
the ability to teach graduate courses leading to principal and
superintendent certification. Required Licensing/Certification: N/A
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of:Successful
candidates will be required to contribute to teaching, research,
and service at a level necessary to help the department maintain
accreditation.Skill in:Must have excellent verbal, written and
presentation skills. Must be able to work with a diverse student
and faculty population. Must be able to use personal computers,
Microsoft Office software and other job-related software.Ability
to:Candidate should have a demonstrated commitment to scholarly
activities. Successful candidates should demonstrate commitment to
mentoring students. Work Experience: Successful candidate will
provide documented evidence of three to five years educational
administration teaching experience, scholarly and research
potential.

includes prolonged standing and/or walking, handling moderate
weight objects and/or using or carrying equipment.
